Description
Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) at Genesis HealthCare System — Zanesville (950 Bethesda Drive, Unit 1) prepares patients for scheduled surgical procedures by reviewing medical history, performing required pre-operative testing, and coordinating care with surgeons and anesthesiologists. The PAT visit (or pre-admission phone assessment) ensures patients are medically optimized for surgery, helps identify necessary tests such as blood work, EKGs or x-rays when indicated, and provides pre-operative instructions including medication and fasting guidance to reduce day-of-surgery cancellations and improve perioperative safety.
